Among the many attestations of the accuracy of the Biblical record are its correspondences with observable reality today.

Nearly every child has heard of the Exodus of the Jews out of Egypt and the intriguing sub-narrative of the Ten Plagues. One of the miserable infestation plagues was the invasion of swarming locusts, the absolute consumer of all things green in their marching insect columns. (Exodus 10:1-20).
